Create a Menu QR Code (PDF/Google Drive/Link)
Turn any PDF or menu link into a scannable QR code. Best practices for restaurants: sizes, placement, and how to keep scans fast.
Quick steps
- Upload your menu to a stable URL (PDF on your site or Google Drive with public link).
- Open Menu / PDF QR and paste the link.
- Choose high contrast (black on white), margin 2–4, PNG for web or SVG/PDF for print.
- Test on 2 phones. If adding a center logo, set error correction to Q or H.
Print sizes that scan
- Table tent: 1–1.5 in (25–38 mm) minimum.
- Flyer: 1.2–2 in depending on distance.
- Poster: at least 2 in; larger for > 3 ft distance.
Pro tip: track with UTM
Append ?utm_source=menu&utm_medium=qr&utm_campaign=dinein
to your link to see scans in your analytics.
Troubleshooting
If it doesn’t scan: increase contrast, reduce background images, raise error correction, or enlarge the code.
